Liberty Moving & Storage offers several valuation coverage options to help protect your belongings during your move. Customers who select Full Value Protection will be eligible for repair, replacement, or reimbursement for covered items based on the terms of the selected coverage plan with $0.00 deductible.
If you choose Basic Liability Coverage, carrier liability is limited by federal and state regulations:
Local moves: $0.60 per pound per article
Long-distance moves: $0.60 per pound per article

Who should I contact after my move if I have questions or concerns?

What is a delivery window?
A delivery window is the estimated range of dates when your shipment is scheduled to arrive. Delivery windows are based on factors such as:

Unless restricted by building rules or local regulations, our movers will continue working until your move is completed safely and efficiently.
Will bad weather affect my move?
Severe weather conditions may occasionally affect delivery schedules if roads become unsafe or inaccessible. However, our professional movers are trained and equipped to handle moves safely during rain, snow, heat, and other common weather conditions. We closely monitor forecasts and communicate any important scheduling updates if necessary.

How many movers will be assigned to my move?

Can movers unmount my television?
Yes. TV unmounting services are available at no additional charge. Please discuss this service with your relocation consultant prior to moving day so proper arrangements can be made. TV remounting services may be available for an additional fee.
Can movers uninstall my air conditioner?
For safety and liability reasons, our movers cannot uninstall or install air conditioning units. We recommend having your air conditioner professionally removed before moving day.
What happens if the moving truck receives a parking ticket?
Customers are not responsible for parking tickets issued to Liberty Moving & Storage vehicles unless the violation directly involves a customer-owned vehicle or parking arrangement.
Do I need to be present during my move?
We strongly recommend that customers be present during pickup and delivery whenever possible. If you cannot attend, you may designate a trusted adult representative, such as a friend, family member, or assistant, to oversee the move on your behalf. A signed authorization or Power of Attorney may be required before moving day.
Do you provide moving boxes?
Yes. We offer a variety of moving boxes and packing supplies for purchase, including:
Small boxes

Dish and china boxes

Should I empty dresser drawers before moving?
Yes. We recommend emptying dresser drawers to help prevent damage to furniture and belongings during transport. Lightweight clothing may sometimes remain in drawers if approved by your moving crew.
Can I pack items in plastic bags?
While duffel bags and luggage are acceptable, plastic bags are not recommended because they can easily tear, shift, and provide limited protection during transport. Durable moving boxes and containers are always the safest option.
Can I pack liquids?
For safety reasons, most liquids are prohibited on moving trucks. We recommend transporting liquids separately whenever possible.
What do “PBO” and “CP” mean?
PBO stands for “Packed By Owner,” meaning the customer packed the contents of the box.
CP stands for “Carrier Packed,” meaning Liberty Moving & Storage professionally packed the items for transport.
Should I pack jewelry, cash, or important documents with my household goods?
We strongly recommend keeping valuables and important documents with you during your move, including:

What happens if I need to cancel my move?
If you need to cancel your move, simply contact our office as soon as possible. Liberty Moving & Storage does not require deposits for most bookings, so cancellations can typically be made before loading without penalty.
How should I pack if I’m packing myself?
For self-packing customers, we recommend:
Packing similar items together
Keeping items from the same room grouped together
Using small boxes for books and heavy items
Using medium boxes for fragile items and electronics
Using large boxes for linens and lightweight items
Keeping boxes under approximately 35 pounds whenever possible

What if I have more items than originally quoted?

Yes. Our movers will place and arrange furniture in your new home during delivery. One-time furniture placement is included as part of our standard moving service.
